Welcome to Young ShelterBox
Every year, all around the world millions of children and families are displaced or left homeless when disaster strikes.
The Young ShelterBox school programme aims to empower your students to make a true difference in the lives of those children and families that have been left homeless due to disaster.
- What does ‘disaster’ actually mean?
- What happens to communities affected by these disasters?
- What would you need to survive?
These are just some questions that can start young people thinking about how disasters impact on those involved. To help them explore further, ShelterBox has a created new and exciting resources for the classroom.
Working with education specialists and teachers, we were able to exploit the wealth of themes and experiences provided by our international disaster relief work, to create a series of unique challenges.
Featuring original film footage, images, songs and poems, ShelterBox Challenges provide a platform for global exploration and discovery. Read more here.
